This page explains how paying for a Jersey Mill order works: where to see the payment methods available to you, when you are charged, how refunds and store credit come back to you, what to do if a payment is declined, and how to keep your details safe. It applies to every order placed on jerseymill.shop. If anything here is unclear, email support@jerseymill.shop and a person will reply within 24 hours on business days.
\n
\n
Settling up at a glance
\n
\n
Which methods: the payment methods shown at checkout are the ones available for your order.
\n
When you pay: at the moment you place your order.
\n
Shipping: free on every order to the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, so there is no shipping line to pay.
\n
Sales tax: not collected by Jersey Mill at checkout.
\n
Refunds: sent to your original payment method within 7 days of us receiving a return; store credit is available on request and never expires.
\n
Never by email: we will never ask you to send card or account details in a message.
\n
\n
\n
Seeing your payment options
\n
The payment methods available for your order are shown on the checkout page, in the payment section below your order summary. Whatever appears there is what you can use; we do not list methods on this page that you cannot select at checkout. The options can depend on your shipping country, so check the payment section after you have entered your address.
\n
Why there are no logos on this page
\n
We prefer to show you exactly what works rather than a row of logos. The checkout page is always up to date, while a list here could fall behind. If you are hoping to use a particular method, you can see whether it is offered by going through checkout up to the payment step; nothing is charged until you confirm the order.
\n
Methods we do not take
\n
We do not take payment over email, in cash, by check or through a personal transfer. Support is by email only, and there is no phone line, so nobody from Jersey Mill will ever call to take a payment. If a method is not offered at checkout, it is not available for that order.
\n
What you pay for, line by line
\n
Before you confirm an order, the checkout page shows every amount that makes up your total. Read it back the same way you would check a scoresheet before signing it.
\n
\n
What makes up the total of a Jersey Mill order
\n
\n
\n
Line on the order
\n
How it is worked out
\n
Example
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
Item price
\n
The price shown on the product page for the size and options you chose
\n
Sizes 2XL and up cost a little more than S to XL on the same shirt
\n
\n
\n
Personalisation extras
\n
Only optional extras that show a price next to them
\n
Sleeve text shows +$2 and is charged only when you fill it in
\n
\n
\n
Quantity
\n
Each cart line is one shirt with its own fields
\n
Five bowlers means five cart lines, each with its own name and size
\n
\n
\n
Shipping
\n
Free to the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, with no minimum
\n
A single trucker hat ships free, just like a team order
\n
\n
\n
Sales tax
\n
Not collected by Jersey Mill at checkout
\n
No tax line is added to your total by us
\n
\n
\n
\n
No team pricing tiers
\n
Prices are the same whether you order one shirt or fifteen. We do not offer bulk pricing, team discounts or quotes, so a captain ordering for a full roster pays the listed price for each cart line. That keeps things simple: the total in your cart is the total.
\n
Prices and currency
\n
Prices are shown in US dollars (USD), next to each price and in your cart. If your card or account is in a different currency, your bank or payment provider converts the amount and may charge its own conversion or foreign transaction fee. That fee is set by them, not by us, and it is not something we can see or refund.
\n
About sales tax and import charges
\n
Jersey Mill does not collect sales tax at checkout, and we do not describe our prices as including tax. For orders delivered to Canada, Australia or New Zealand, import duties and taxes depend on the destination country. If you have a question about a specific delivery, email us before ordering and we will help as far as we can.
\n
When the charge happens
\n
Your payment is taken when you place your order. Once the payment goes through, you receive an order confirmation email and the order moves to processing, which takes 1-3 business days. If a payment does not go through, no order is created, so you will not be charged for an order you cannot see in your account.
\n
Paying for a team in one go
\n
Picture a bowling captain ordering five Custom Team Bowling Shirts, one cart line per player. The whole order goes through checkout once, with one payment, and every shirt ships to one address for handing out on league night. Collecting money from teammates is up to the captain; we only take the one payment at checkout.
\n
Paying for separate addresses
\n
Each order ships to one address, so a pickleball doubles pair sending matching Kitchen Line jerseys to Canada and to the US places two orders and makes two payments. Each order gets its own confirmation email and its own order number.
\n
When a payment is declined
\n
A declined payment is frustrating, especially when you are trying to get a team order in before a deadline. The cause is almost always on the payment side rather than with your order, and it is usually quick to fix.
\n
Common reasons
\n
\n
The billing address does not match the one your bank or payment account has on file.
\n
A card has expired, or a number or security code was typed incorrectly.
\n
There are not enough funds available, or a spending limit has been reached.
\n
Your bank paused the payment as unusual, for example because it is a new store or a larger team order than you normally place.
\n
Your bank asked you to confirm the payment in its app and the confirmation was not completed.
\n
\n
What to try next
\n
\n
Check your billing details carefully and try again.
\n
Look for a message or app notification from your bank asking you to approve the payment.
\n
Try another payment method shown at checkout.
\n
If it still fails, contact your bank or payment provider; they can see why the payment was stopped, and we cannot.
\n
\n
If you see a charge but did not receive an order confirmation email, check your spam folder and your account first, then email us with the date, the amount and the last four digits of the card or the payment reference only. Never send a full card number.
\n
Seeing two charges
\n
Some banks show a temporary authorization when a payment is attempted, which can look like a second charge. These holds usually drop off on their own. If two completed charges appear for the same order, email us with both references and the order number, and we will look into it and refund any duplicate to your original payment method.
\n
Refunds, store credit and changes to your total
\n
Money always comes back the way it went out. When we refund an order, or part of one, the refund goes to your original payment method. We do not refund to a different card or account.
\n
Refunds after a return
\n
You can return any item within 60 days, personalised pieces included, and we provide a free return label for a change-of-mind return. Your refund is sent within 7 days of us receiving the return. Say you ordered a Lane Flames bowling shirt and decided the color is not quite right for your team: send it back, and once it arrives, the refund is on its way. How long it takes to show on your statement after that depends on your bank or payment provider. The full rules are on our Refund Policy page and the step-by-step process is on our Returns & Exchanges Policy page.
\n
Store credit instead of a refund
\n
If you would rather keep the value with us, for example because you plan to reorder once the new season’s roster is set, ask for store credit when you arrange your return. Store credit is available on request and never expires.
\n
Cancelled orders and changed totals
\n
Within 24 hours of ordering you can cancel or change your order by email. A cancelled order, or a cancelled cart line, is refunded in full to your original payment method. If a change lowers the total, such as removing sleeve text from a shirt, we refund the difference; if it raises the total, such as moving an XL to a 3XL, we tell you the new amount and how to settle it before we make the change. Our Cancel or Change an Order page explains the process.
\n
Checking an order before we prepare it
\n
To protect our customers, we may occasionally contact you by email to confirm details on an order before we prepare it, for example if the billing and shipping details look very different. We will never ask for a password or full card number in that email. If we cannot confirm an order, we cancel it and refund the full amount to the original payment method.
\n
Gift orders
\n
Buying a League Night Pullover Hoodie and a Pin & Ball sock pair for a partner’s birthday, shipped to another address in the US? That is perfectly normal. Use your own billing details and the recipient’s shipping details at checkout. The confirmation email goes to you, not to the recipient.
\n
Keeping your payment details safe
\n
The whole site uses an encrypted connection, shown by the padlock in your browser’s address bar. Payment details are entered only in the payment section at checkout. A few simple habits keep things safe on your side too.
\n
\n
We will never ask for a card number, security code, password or one-time code by email.
\n
Never include payment details in a support email, even if you are asking about a payment.
\n
Check that the address bar shows jerseymill.shop before you enter any details at checkout.
\n
If you receive a message claiming to be from Jersey Mill that asks for payment details, do not reply with them; forward it to support@jerseymill.shop so we can warn other customers.
\n
\n
How we handle the personal information you give us at checkout is explained in our Privacy Policy, and the general terms of buying from us are in our Terms of Service.
\n
Questions about paying
\n
Support at Jersey Mill is by email only, and every message is answered by a person within 24 hours on business days. Write to support@jerseymill.shop with your order number if you have one, the date of the payment and a short description of the question. Please leave out any card or account numbers.
