Privacy Policy
Last updated:
A league shirt carries more personal detail than most clothes: a player’s name across the back, a number, sometimes a whole roster of teammates. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Jersey Mill collects when you visit jerseymill.shop or place an order, why we need it, who sees it, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do with it. Jersey Mill is the business responsible for your information: Jersey Mill, 3492 W Ridgecrest Dr., Taylorsville, UT 84129, US. For any privacy question, email support@jerseymill.shop.
Privacy at a glance
- We collect what we need to take your order, print your personalization, ship it and answer your emails.
- We do not sell your personal information or rent our customer list.
- Payments are handled by the payment provider shown at checkout; we do not see or store your full card or account details.
- Photos you email us about an order problem are deleted 30 days after delivery.
- Names you type for a shirt are used to print and ship that shirt, nothing else.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your information by emailing us.
What we collect, and where it comes from
When you place an order
At checkout we collect your name, email address, billing address and shipping address, plus a phone number if the checkout form asks for one. We record what you bought, the sizes and colors you chose, the price you paid and the date. If you ship a gift to someone else, we collect that person’s name and address so the parcel can reach them.
Personalization text
Our five personalized products have built-in fields: “Team name on front”, “Name on back”, “Number”, optional “Sleeve text”, and on the roster tee “Roster names for the back” and an optional “Season or year line”. On the pickleball jersey you can also choose a division or night. Whatever you type into these fields is saved with your order, because we print exactly what you type. A Team Roster Back Tee with 12 players’ names means those 12 names are stored with that order line.
When you create an account
If you create an account in My Account, we store your login email, a securely stored version of your password, your saved addresses and your order history. You can use the store without an account; checkout works either way.
When you email us
Support works by email only. When you write to support@jerseymill.shop we keep your message, our reply and anything you attach, such as photos of a print fault or a damaged parcel.
Collected automatically
Like most websites, the server that runs jerseymill.shop records technical details when you visit: your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you open and the time of the visit. The store also uses cookies to keep your cart and checkout working (see the cookies section below).
From the payment provider
When you pay, the payment provider tells us whether the payment went through and gives us a transaction reference. It may share limited details such as the payment type, but never your full card number or account password.
How we use it
| Information | What we use it for | Why we may use it |
|---|---|---|
| Name, email, addresses | Taking the order, shipping it, sending order emails | Needed to complete the purchase you asked for |
| Personalization text and roster names | Printing the shirt exactly as typed and checking it if there is a problem | Needed to make the item you ordered |
| Order history | Returns, refunds, store credit and answering questions | Needed to honor our policies and keep business records |
| Support emails and photos | Sorting out the issue you wrote about | Needed to help you; photos deleted 30 days after delivery |
| Technical data and essential cookies | Keeping the cart working, security, spotting abuse | Our legitimate interest in a safe, working store |
| Billing details and transaction references | Accounting, tax records, fraud checks | Legal obligations and preventing fraud |
We do not use your personalization text, your teammates’ names or your order details to build advertising profiles. If we ever send marketing emails, we will do so only where you have agreed or where the law allows it, and every such email will include a way to unsubscribe. Order emails about something you bought are not marketing and are sent regardless.
Legal bases for visitors from the UK or EU
We sell to customers in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. If you visit from the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, we rely on these bases: performing our contract with you, our legitimate interests in running a safe store, your consent where we ask for it, and legal obligations such as keeping accounting records.
Names on the back: other people’s information
Ordering for a team usually means typing other people’s names. A captain who orders five Custom Team Bowling Shirts enters five bowlers’ names and numbers. A youth softball parent types a child’s first or last name for the back of a Custom Youth Softball Jersey.
What we ask of you
- Only enter names of people who are happy to have them printed and shipped, such as your teammates, your family or yourself.
- Do not enter famous players’ names, real team or league names, brand names or anyone else’s trademarks. We do not print them. Our Intellectual Property Policy explains this.
- Check spelling carefully. No proof is sent before printing, so the stored text is exactly what is printed.
How we treat those names
Personalization text is used only to print, pack and ship that order, and to check the shirt against the order if something looks wrong. It is not added to a mailing list, not shared for marketing and not used to contact the people named. A teammate whose name appears on an order can email us to ask what we hold about them; we will help, while also protecting the privacy of the person who placed the order.
Children’s names on youth jerseys
Our youth sizes are bought by parents, guardians and coaches, not by children. When an adult types a child’s name or number for a youth jersey, we use it only to make and ship that jersey. The store is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them directly. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
Who else sees it
We share personal information only with the service providers that help us run the store, and only what each one needs:
- Payment provider: the provider shown at checkout processes your payment under its own privacy terms.
- Printing and packing: anyone who prints or packs your item on our behalf receives the product, size, color, personalization text and shipping details for your order.
- Shipping services: receive the recipient’s name and shipping address so the parcel can be delivered.
- Website hosting and email providers: store the site, your account data and our email conversations.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Cookies on the site
Essential cookies keep your cart, your login and the checkout working. Without them the store cannot remember that you put a Kitchen Line jersey in your cart or which size you picked. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but if you block essential cookies, the cart and checkout will not work.
If we add analytics or advertising tools in the future, we will update this policy before they go live and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent first.
How long we keep it
- Order records (names, addresses, items, amounts): as long as tax and accounting rules require.
- Personalization text: stored with the order record so returns, reprints and questions can be checked against what was typed.
- Photos you email us about a problem: deleted 30 days after delivery.
- Support emails: kept while they are useful for resolving your request and any follow-up.
- Accounts: kept until you ask us to close the account, subject to the order-record rule above.
- Store credit records: kept for as long as the credit is available, and store credit never expires.
When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.
Keeping it safe
The site uses encrypted HTTPS connections. Access to customer information is limited to people who need it to fulfill orders and answer support emails. Payment details are entered with the payment provider, not stored on our site. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information, and if a breach affects you we will tell you where the law requires it.
Please help too: use a password for your account that you do not use anywhere else, and do not email us full card numbers or passwords. We will never ask for them.
Your rights and how to use them
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- know what personal information we hold about you and get a copy;
- correct information that is wrong, such as a misspelled address;
- ask us to delete information we no longer need to keep;
- object to or limit certain uses, and withdraw consent you gave;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do neither);
- complain to a privacy regulator where you live.
Residents of US states with consumer privacy laws, Canada, Australia and New Zealand each have rights under their own laws, and we honor requests made under them. To make a request, email support@jerseymill.shop from the address you used at checkout, or tell us your order number. We may ask a question or two to confirm it is you before sharing anything. We will never treat you differently for using your rights.
Deleting and order records
If you ask us to delete your information, we remove what we can. Some order details must stay in our records for tax and accounting reasons; we keep only what is required and use it for nothing else.
Information across borders
Jersey Mill is based in Utah, and orders ship from the USA. If you order from Canada, Australia or New Zealand, your information is processed in the United States and may be handled by service providers in other countries. We take steps so that your information stays protected wherever it is processed.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices or the law change. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change matters to how we use information you already gave us, we will say so on the site or by email.
